The International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is now accepting films until June 30th, 2018. Here you can find more information about their Call for Entry.
The International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is Malaysia’s first and longest-running environmental film festival. In the last 10 years, the Festival has reached out to approximately 100,000 Malaysians through its film screenings and programs at selected venues all over the Peninsula.
The KLEFF aims to promote sustainable production and consumption or green consumerism. Activate local activism and participation in environmental efforts through networking, and engagement in the activities lined up in the festival. Promote sustainability among business through strategic forums and panel discussions. Celebrate the important environmental films that are advocating for changes to protect the planet.
General Rules:
– Films should cover environmental topics, but can certainly overlap with social, economic, spiritual, or other themes.
– All genres, including documentaries, narratives, shorts, children’s films, and experimental films are all welcome and will be given equal consideration.
– Non-Malaysian submissions must be done via FilmFreeway. Malaysian productions must be done via KLEFF website.
– Submission Fee (depending on the deadline):
Feature Films/Docs – $ 30 USD | $ 35 USD (Students $ 15 USD | $ 20 USD).
Short Docs – $ 20 USD | $ 25 USD (Students: $ 15 USD | $ 20 USD).
Short Films, Animations or Public Service Announcements – $ 15 USD | $ 20 USD (Students: $ 10 USD | $ 15 USD).
– Deadlines:
Regular Deadline: May 31st, 2018.
Late Deadline: June 30th, 2018.
