We take a look at the Asian films that will be screened at the Brussels Short Film Festival which will take place from April 26 – May 6, 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.

**A Lullaby for Yellow Roses** by Rahul Roye – India | 2023 – 18 minutes*

A migrant working-class couple, after losing their daughter to an ill-fated destiny, seeks friends in each other. (BSFF 2023)

**As The Moth Flies** by Karen Gayle Oblea – Philippines | 2022 – 19 minutes*

During their visit to the psychiatrist, Tonette was asked to evaluate her mentally ill partner, Jett, and their relationship through the years. By doing so, she unexpectedly uncovers the truth about their dark eerie past. (BSFF 2023)

**Ex-Girlfriend on the Street** by Kim Sunwoong – Korea | 2021 – 7 minutes

A man accidentally meets his ex-girlfriend on the street. After a brief meeting, the man, who is worried about something, makes a decision and calls his ex-girlfriend. (BSFF 2023)

**Family Toast** by Junhyung Kim – Korea | 2021 – 14 minutes

A mother finds a cigarette in her daughter’s bag. Even though her mother starts to bombard her with questions, the daughter keeps her mouth shut. Then the father returns home from work and begins to suspect the cigarette was not just a cigarette, after all. (BSFF 2023)

**Father Libre** by Joohyun Woo – Korea | 2022 – 10 minutes

Jae-yong secretly enjoys dressing up as a woman on holidays. One day, his daughter Hae-bin visits Jae-yong’s house without saying anything and witnesses Jae-yong dressed as a woman. (BSFF 2023)

**Headless** by Bason Baek – Korea | 2022 – 8 minutes

Most people in this world are headless. DuSeong is a police officer; one of the few that still have a head. He takes on a sexual assault case, where both the perpetrator and the victim lose their heads. One day, he discovers his daughter has also become headless, and is faced with a choice. (BSFF 2023)

**It’sYou** by Yu Won – Korea | 2011 – 11 minutes

A stranger approaches and pretends to know and insists on it, and a passerby intervenes in this situation. The man again insists that he doesn’t know strangers, but it’s not accepted, and he’s going crazy. (BSFF 2023)

**My Worst Nightmare** by Juhyeong Lim – Korea | 2022 – 13 minutes

A woman who writes lyrics on the subway all day and a helpless man who has just left the company meets by chance on the subway, and the two have the worst imagination of spending their lives with each other. (BSFF 2023)

**Nice to See Your Face** by Sun Namkoong – Korea | 2021 – 13 minutes

Eden is driving down the road when the engine fails and her car comes to a stop. Eden calls Haewon and tells him she wants to see him before she leaves Korea, but Haewon keeps saying he just can’t come. The hot summer heats up the road and Eden’s wish to say a proper goodbye does not seem to be coming true. (BSFF 2023)

**Southern Afternoon** by Tian Lan – China | 2022 – 16 minutes*

Saramu, an Uyghur father living in Southern China, accidentally discovers a possible love letter of his 14-year-old daughter. Desperate to resolve his doubt but unable to read Chinese mandarin, Saramu can only ask his younger daughter to read him the letter. (BSFF 2023)
