27th REGARD Saguenay International Short Film Festival – Asian Presence 2023

Four Asian films will be screened at the REGARD Saguenay International Short Film Festival which will take place from March 22 – 26, 2023 in Saguenay, Canada.

Hills and Mountains by Salar Pashtoonyar – Canada, Afghanistan | 2022 – 8 minutes

An Afghan woman delves deep into the experiences that forced her to the edge of her society. (REGARD 2023)

Last Days of Summer by Stenzin Tankong – France, India | 2023 – 15 minutes

A recurring mysterious sound from Himalaya mountains is only heard by two curious young shepherds. Unable to convince the villagers of the scary nature of such sound, they journey into the unknown to unravel the mystery. (REGARD 2023)

When You Left me on that Boulevard by Kayla Galang – USA | 2023 – 13 minutes

Teenager Ly and her cousins get high before a boisterous family Thanksgiving at their auntie’s house in southeast San Diego in 2006. Stoned and harboring a romance with her maybe-boyfriend, Ly moves through her family’s gossip, nosiness, and loudness until the day ends. (REGARD 2023)
